A fissure sealant (a protective coating applied to the deep grooves on the biting surfaces of molars) is 1,445.00 TL per tooth, and topical fluoride is 1,375.00 TL per half jaw (including VAT).

- Compomer filling: A fluoride-releasing filling material often used in baby teeth; 4,180.00 TL.
- Pulpotomy: If decay has reached the nerve, the upper part of the nerve is removed; 3,850.00 TL (filling, crown and biomaterial excluded).
- Baby tooth root canal treatment: If the whole nerve is affected; 6,765.00 TL.
- Prefabricated crown: To protect baby molars with major structure loss; 3,810.00 TL.

If a baby tooth is lost early, the neighbouring teeth can drift into the gap and the space for the permanent tooth can narrow. A space maintainer keeps the gap open; a fixed one is 7,480.00 TL and a removable one 10,010.00 TL.
What Affects the Cost?
- The number of teeth treated and how deep the decay is
- Whether a filling, pulpotomy or root canal treatment is needed
- The child's cooperation; under the tariff, interventional procedures under general anaesthesia are increased by 50%
- How many teeth receive preventive treatment

Baby teeth fall out anyway — do they need treatment?
Yes. Untreated decay in baby teeth can cause pain and infection, affect the permanent tooth underneath and lead to space problems if the tooth is lost early.
Which teeth receive fissure sealants?
Usually the biting surfaces of the molars, which are most prone to decay, especially soon after the permanent molars erupt. Which teeth need it is decided at the examination.
How often is fluoride applied?
It depends on decay risk; for most children it may be recommended once or twice a year together with check-ups.
